In the current worship culture that has shifted so heavily to performance, there is a clarion call for us to remember that we as worship leaders, are so much more than facilitators of a set list and leaders of team management…we are first and foremost called to be Pastors. Our work as songwriters and worshipers require us to be receptive to something much bigger than ourselves…the anointing of God. Worship without the anointing is simply music and a good show. We must always remember, our role as worship leader and songwriter is an honor. It does not position us for fame, but instead, conduits for God to receive his due glory.
